dermal filler treatments

Dermal fillers are a popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment used to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. At Life of Riley, I offer premium-quality dermal fillers that provide natural-looking results and ensure your safety and satisfaction.

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are injectable substances that add volume to the skin by replenishing lost collagen and hyaluronic acid. They are made from various materials, including:

  • Hyaluronic acid: A naturally occurring substance found in the skin that helps maintain hydration and elasticity.
  • Calcium hydroxyapatite: A biocompatible material that stimulates collagen production.
  • Poly-L-lactic acid: A biodegradable synthetic material that gradually degrades over time, stimulating collagen growth.

What are dermal fillers used for?

Dermal fillers can be used to address a variety of concerns, including:

  • Facial volume loss: Restoring fullness to cheeks, lips, and temples.
  • Wrinkle reduction: Smoothing lines around the mouth, eyes, and forehead.
  • Contouring: Enhancing facial features such as the jawline and chin.
  • Lip augmentation: Increasing the size and shape of the lips.

To learn more about dermal fillers and determine if they are right for you, schedule a consultation with Anna. I will assess your facial features and discuss your desired outcomes to create a personalised treatment plan!

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach out to me at anna@lor-medicalaesthetics.co.uk if you cannot find an answer below to your question.

The duration of dermal filler results varies depending on the type of filler used and individual factors. Hyaluronic acid fillers typically last for 6-12 months, while thicker fillers like calcium hydroxyapatite can last up to 18 months or longer.

Most people report that dermal filler injections are relatively comfortable. A numbing cream is often applied to the area before the procedure, and the injections themselves are usually quick. However, there may be some slight discomfort or bruising afterwards.

When administered by a qualified medical professional, like Anna, dermal fillers are generally considered safe. However, it's important to choose a reputable clinic and ensure that the products used are CE marked or have equivalent regulatory approval.

Yes, dermal fillers can often be combined with other cosmetic treatments, such as Botox for example. Anna can advise you on the best combination for your specific needs.

I use a variety of brands depending upon what you are looking to achieve, the areas being treated and your age.  I often use products such as those from Teoxane, but also enjoy working with Restylane, Belotero and Vivacy.

I always do consultations in person so that I can assess your face thoroughly and talk through your concerns properly.  Your consultation fee is £25 paid at the time of booking, but is redeemable off your total treatment cost.

Once we have agreed a treatment plan at consultation, we can proceed with treatment only days later.
